The H.E.A.T Hub Return to Rushcliffe: Neighbours Lead the Way at the Whole House Retrofit Party

Recent weeks have seen a fantastic turnout of local homeowners at a series of H.E.A.T Hub retrofit advice events across Rushcliffe, with the highlight being the lively Whole House Retrofit Party at The Embankment Pub.

As the H.E.A.T Hub’s first event of its kind, the Retrofit Party introduced an exciting new way to bring the community together and hear real stories about the retrofit journeys happening right on their doorstep. Attendees heard from industry experts, installers and fellow homeowners about the realities of these projects.

The event spotlighted local case studies, with homeowners giving honest accounts of their home transformations and offering a first‑hand look into the world of energy upgrades. We shared stories that brought both the challenges and triumphs of retrofit to life, giving everyone an honest, tangible perspective to take away.

We also heard from David Hill from Carbon Legacy, who covered all things solar, heat pumps and batteries. Attendees were able to get specific answers to their questions, advice on their current systems and ideas for future installations.

Conversations ranged from how to navigate the planning stages through to installing heat pumps and solar panels, with many attendees also sharing their own retrofit plans and ideas. We hope everyone left feeling more confident about the steps ahead.

The H.E.A.T Hub plans to run more events like this, so if you were unable to attend, keep checking the events diary here.

Additionally, the H.E.A.T Hub offers free* retrofit assessments and personalised Home Energy Plans, giving you a clear, step-by-step pathway to improving your home. Get more info here.
