The Heat Hub are delivering a practical demonstration for laying underfloor heating pipework.
In this practical, hands-on session, you’ll learn how to lay underfloor heating pipework and securely fix it to the insulation layer, ready for the floor screed to be poured later.
You’ll get the chance to work with the tools and materials used in a real retrofit project and build confidence in handling and installing underfloor heating pipework. The session will be led by expert contractors.
Whether you’re planning to tackle home improvements yourself or simply looking to expand your DIY skills, it will give you the hands-on knowledge and experience to get started.
What you'll learn:
Using some of the tools: Learn how to safely use pipe cutters clip and mallet.
Secure the pipework: Discover how to fasten pipes tightly so they do not float when the wet floor is poured.
Bend without kinks: Practice making smooth, wide turns with the pipe, without damaging it.
Where will it take place?
We will meet at the NEP Climate Hub on 32 Turney Street, the Meadows, NG2 2LG, before heading over to NEP's Community Retrofit House round the corner.
All tools and materials will be provided.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting messy.
