Plastering Workshop: Lime Plastering for Beginners

  • 42 Pyatt Street NG2 2LF (map)

In this introductory plastering workshop you will have the opportunity to work with lime plastering experts to learn through hands-on experience how to mix and apply lime plaster to bare brick walls in a real-life setting.

The workshop takes place at a terraced house that is being transformed from scratch using all-natural materials, by people in the community. The house provides a vital real-life learning experience that is hard to gain elsewhere. You will get to see how the process will work in your own home.

You will learn the importance of making walls air-tight when applying a lime plaster backing to bare brick walls and making them suitable for insulating. The workshop is intended to enable residents to learn all you need to know to confidently take on plastering in your own home! These workshops are set in small groups to allow learning from professionals and asking any questions you might have.

This experience is ideal for picking up tips and learning the tricks of the trade as you work in a real-life setting. Learn a new skill and confidently take on lime plastering in your own home!
