Plastering Workshop: Lime Plastering for Beginners

In this introductory plastering workshop you will have the opportunity to work with experts and observe live demonstrations of mixing and applying lime plaster to walls. This experience is ideal for picking up tips and learning the tricks of the trade as you work in a real-life setting.

We'll meet at the Climate Hub on 32 Turney Street, NG2 2LG before walking over the complete the workshop at the Community Retrofit house on Pyatt Street.

You will learn the importance of making walls air-tight when applying a lime plaster backing to bare brick walls and making them suitable for insulating.

The workshop is intended to enable residents to learn all you need to know to confidently take on plastering in your own home!

These workshops are set in small groups to allow learning from professionals and asking any questions you might have.

Free to attend. Materials, tools, and PPE will be provided.

Please wear suitable clothing that you don’t mind getting messy and closed toe shoes.
